New photographic exhibition to open in September
Imperial War Museum Duxford is commemorating the 70th anniversary of theoubreak of the Second World War with an evocative new photographicexhibition entitled ‘Duxford Goes to War’.The exhibition runs from Thursday 3 September (the actual anniversaryof the announcement of the outbreak of the Second World War) to winter2009 in AirSpace at Imperial War Museum Duxford.The exhibition shows how Duxford prepared for the dark days ofconflict, through photographs from the Imperial War Museum’s extensivearchives together with rare photographs on public display for the firsttime.This exhibition is included in the standard admission to the Museum.http://www.iwm.org.uk/duxford
