New details for radio service

The Air/Ground Radio Service at Stoke Golding Airfield is to change frequency as of 1 April 2009 to a new frequency of 119.25 MHz. Pilots may note that this WAS the approach frequency for Coventry Airport just a few miles away and airfield operator Tim Jinks says he is sure there will be some confusion over the next few months. “I am sure that a large percentage of pilots will still be trying to call Coventry Approach on this frequency and we have spoken with Coventry ATC to decide how we jointly deal with this. I am looking forward to responding to the first commercial pilot who hasn’t read the NOTAMS!’’ Further details can be found at www.stokegoldingairfield.co.uk
