Third training sim added to SFC fleet

THE training will utilise the Alsim AL 200 jet simulator which was installed last summer for initial core courses. The groundschool briefing room has been significantly re-equipped tomeet the needs of the new course.Colin Dobney, head of training said, “We are delighted to be able to offer the groundschool facilities for 737 Type Rating here at Stapleford. This is big step forward in our professional training programme. From this summer we will be able to train students from ‘zero to hero’ – right up to their first airline jobs, without having to send them elsewhere for this crucial stage.“The course will involve 12 days of technical ground school here at Stapleford followed by 16 hours fixed base simulator training and completed with 36 hours in full motion B737 simulators.  Then comes the day nobody ever forgets, when you actually go off and do circuits in a B737 aircraft!Stapleford is also acquiring a new Diamond simulatorto support training in its DA42s.  Club members arewelcome to try their hand in the simulator at £70 for30 minutes.www.flysfc.com
