CAA switches frequency because of interference between Sibson and Blackbushe

Sibson’s radio frequency is changing to 120.325MHz from 19 July 2007 due to significant and severe radio interface resulting from Blackbushe and Sibson airfields sharing 122.3MHz. The CAA says it fully recognises there will be some inconvenience to the aerodrome and its users, but it made its decision based on a safety assessment. Aircraft approaching Sibson that are unable to determine the status of the drop zone from the published contacts should assume that the zone is active to FL150 and should be avoided.Chart updates such as radio frequency changes are available free of charge from the CAA website at www.caa.co.uk/charts and also through a free RSS feed.
