The Light Aircraft Association (LAA) has named Richard (Rich) Dunevein-Gordon as its new CEO. Rich will take over the role in September 2011, succeeding current CEO Peter Harvey.
The Light Aircraft Association (LAA) has named Richard (Rich) Dunevein-Gordon as its new CEO. Rich will take over the role in September 2011, succeeding current CEO Peter Harvey.
Rich has deep roots in aviation. He first soloed a glider with the Air Cadets at 16, and won a RAF Flying Scholarship. He has since enjoyed a long RAF career as a wing commander in the Logistics Branch, after much experience in engineering and airworthiness in the VC10, Hercules, Sentry and Harrier Integrated Project teams.Rich has been a glider & SLMG instructor, and has piloted a number of powered and non-powered types. He currently flies with the RAF Lyneham Flying Club, and has helped to rebuild a Dragon Rapide with the Duxford Aviation Society.On being appointed CEO, Rich said: “I’m excited about my new career with the LAA, working with the staff and volunteers to steer the Association’s important work through the challenges that lie ahead. I look forward to meeting as many of the Association’s members as I can, starting at the Annual Rally at Sywell this year”.
