Helicopter operator Heli Air is opening a facility at Gloucestershire Airport, which will include a ‘Flight Instructor Academy’.
The company will also offer full PPL(H) and CPL(H) courses and Type Ratings on a number of single engine helicopters.
It will commence operations with a Robinson R22 and an R44, which will shortly be joined by an R66 and a Bell 206 Jetranger. Heli Air also plans to introduce other aircraft – including more R22s and a Bell LongRanger – in the near future.
Heli Air has six other bases at Wellesbourne, Wycombe, Denham, Silverstone, Thruxton and Fairoaks.
The facility at Gloucestershire is due to open for business on 24 September.
