Garmin has released a collision avoidance system for transport category aircraft.
The GTS 800 TCAS II/ACAS II maintains constant surveillance, identifies potential traffic conflicts and issues traffic alerts and manoeuvre commands.
The technology has received Technical Standard Orders (TSO) certification and will become standard equipment on a number of platforms including Citation TEN, Citation Latitude, Citation Longitude and Citation Sovereign, the Bombardier Learjet 70 and Learjet 75.
