PM’s office says it can’t intervene in planning battle
The Prime Minister’s office finally replied today (13/8/07) to the epetition signed by 6,794 people to try to help Kemble in its planning fight to remain an active general aviation airfield for the benefit of thelocal community and for pilots nationwide.Here’s the Government’s reply.’Cotswold District Council have issued an enforcement action onunauthorised flying at Kemble Airfield. The owners of the airfield haveappealed against that action and the matter is now with the PlanningInspectorate for their consideration. An inquiry is scheduled for theend of November 2007. As the appeal is still pending it would not beappropriate for Government to comment.’
