Yorkshireman wins Unlimited Aerobatic Comp at Silverstone
TOM Cassells won the British title with 69% of the available score in his CAP-232. Mark Jefferies came second (62%) in an Extra 300-S, Nick Wakefield (far left) third with only 53% – but he was flying a woefully outclassed Pitts S-1T. In fourth place (48%) was Aidan Grimley in a CAP-231ex. To be competitive at international level normally takes a score over 75%. The UK Unlimited Aerobatic Competition decides the UK team for next year’s Internationals at Silverstone.
