Airfields may not be classed as brownfield
In an apparent breakthrough on the ‘are airfields classified as brownfield sites?’ issue, the Housing and Planning Minister Yvette Cooper confirmed in a letter dated 24 January to the MP for Reigate that Planning Policy Statement 3 (PPG3) does not change the planning status of airfields.
