This year’s event kicks off at Croft Farm on 31 May…
The 2008 event promises to be one to remember according to organiser Nige Barratt.He told Go Flying!, “The Welsh Border section is particularlydemanding and interesting from the terrain point of view. I know all organisers think their particular events are extraspecial but if the weather is on our side, this one looks be ‘spicy’!”The tour starts at Croft Farm (Defford) on Sat 31 May departing @ 10:30am. The itinerary is as follows:
Eta Lane Fm {4nm NW os Hay-on-Wye} @ 11:10. Tea & Biscuits.
Depart Lane fm @ 12:20.
Eta Welshpool @13:00. Lunch {BBQ}
Depart Welshpool @ 14:30.
Eta Baxterly @15:25 {8.5nm NE Birmingham} 600m Grass. Tea & Coffee.
Depart Baxterly @ 16:30.
Eta Sywell @ 17:15pm {nightstop} Beer and Food.
All airfields have fuel and are suitable for the Luscombe.
Day two, Sunday, 1st June.
