Mack Rutherford, the younger brother of Zara Rutherford (who was featured in Pilot’s August 2022 issue), has become the youngest person ever to fly around the world, aged seventeen. He landed in Sofia, Bulgaria, in late August, after a five-month journey that saw him cross fifty-two countries. Like his sister Zara, who holds the record for being the youngest woman to fly around the globe, he used a Shark microlight aircraft for the record flight.
